Zatox, de son vrai nom Gerardo Roschini, né le 17 novembre 1975, à Tivoli, Latium, en Italie^[1]^,^[2], est un producteur et disc jockey hardstyle italien. Il est plus précisément orienté rawstyle, un sous-genre dérivé du hardstyle et de la techno hardcore. Il est l'un des piliers du genre^[3].

Biographie[modifier | modifier le code]

Gerardo Roschini et commence sa carrière musicale en 2002. En 2007, il mixe pour la compilation Decibel 2007 aux côtés de Technoboy, bien accueillie avec une note de 82 sur 100 sur le site Partyflock^[4].

En 2011, il fait paraître la compilation Qlimax 2011, sur laquelle il présente une mixset^[5]. Toujours en 2011, il présente une autre mixset sur le premier disque de la compilation Bassleader 2011, compilation sortie en marge de l'événement Bassleader et accueillie par une note de 84 sur 100 sur Partyflock^[6]. La même année, il est classé à la 47^e place au DJ Mag^[7]. En 2012, une brève polémique s'empare de lui et Headhunterz concernant une histoire d'« achat de followers » sur Twitter^[8]. Toujours en 2012, sa chanson My Life atteint la 14^e place des classements musicaux belges^[9]^,^[10]. En 2013, il participe à l'événement Iqon, organisé en Australie par Q-dance^[11]. Lors d'une entrevue à Qlimax 2013, un nouvel album avec Zatox, aux côtés de Headhunterz, The Prophet et Noisecontrollers, est annoncé pour 2014^[3]^,^[12].
