Jimmy Buffett est un chanteur américain de musique country/rock/pop né le 25 décembre 1946 à Pascagoula, Mississippi (États-Unis). Il est aussi compositeur, écrivain, acteur et producteur. Sa chanson la plus célèbre est Margaritaville, composée en 1977. Ses concerts sont très populaires aux États-Unis. Depuis 1970, il a fait plus de 30 albums, et écrit quatre livres qui ont été des best-sellers, pas traduits en français. Il a aussi coécrit des livres pour enfants.
