Richard Anderson est un acteur américain, né le 8 août 1926 à Long Branch dans le New Jersey.

Biographie

Ses parents déménagent pour Los Angeles quand il a 10 ans. Au retour de la guerre, il étudie au célèbre American Lab à Hollywood. En 1947, il a déjà joué dans plusieurs pièces de théâtre. En 1949, il signe un contrat de six ans avec la MGM, durant lequel il jouera dans 26 films.

Remarqué dans le rôle de Ricardo del Amo dans la série télévisée Zorro de Walt Disney, il décrochera le rôle récurrent du Lt. Steve Drumm dans Perry Mason et enchaînera en jouant le frère du docteur Kimble dans la série Le Fugitif. Il obtiendra, en 1973, le rôle qui le rendra mondialement célèbre : celui d'Oscar Goldman dans les séries L'Homme qui valait trois milliards et Super Jaimie. À cette occasion, la société Mattel éditera une poupée à son effigie. Il demeure à ce jour le seul acteur à avoir interprété le même personnage dans deux séries à succès.

Il était doublé en français principalement par l'acteur Jacques Deschamps.
