Seventh Son of A Seventh Son est le septième album du groupe de Heavy Metal britannique Iron Maiden, sorti le 23 avril 1988, c'est un concept-album inspiré du premier tome des Chroniques d'Alvin le Faiseur d'Orson Scott Card : Le septième fils (Seventh Son).

Cet album représente un des plus gros travaux du groupe et demeure probablement le plus perfectionné. L'album atteindra d'ailleurs la première position des charts britanniques à sa première semaine de parution, grâce aux morceaux "Can I Play With Madness", "The Clairvoyant" ou encore "The Evil That Men Do".

Moonchild est un morceau inspiré par la magie et est tiré du Liber Samekh de l'écrivain et occultiste britannique Aleister Crowley.[1].

Lors de la réédition des albums du groupe en 1998, le groupe a retravaillé la pochette de l'album.
