AMA is an international developer and publisher of games and applications for mobiles, tablets, connected TV, Kinect and more recently Ouya , founded in 2004 by Christian Guillemot [1]. Sister company with Ubisoft and Gameloft, it provides more than a hundred of applications and games accross the world such as free to play and social titles. The company obtains the title of «top developer», awarded by Google in 2012[2].
Presentation of the company[modifier | modifier le code]
Founded in 2004 in London, AMA develops and publishes games and applications for mobiles, tablets, Kinect, OUYA and soon on PlayStation Mobile, Windows 8 and Tizen. The company establishes itself as one of the best mobile developers thanks to its multi-millions download licences : Babel Rising 3D, Hills of Glory 3D and Love Test Calculator[3]. The company also develops through its Belgian studio in Charleroi titles for Kinect such as : Fighter Uncaged and My Self Defense Coach. AMA counts about 80 employees spread up in nine offices and studios all around the world, mainly in Europe but also in America. Carriers like AT&T and Orange and builders like Microsoft, BlackBerry and Sony[4] helped the company be globally distributed. AMA Ltd. gots branches in différent countries, each of them is in charge of a part of the company functioning :
- The head office in London.
- Production studios in Bucarest (Roumanie) and Charleroi (Belgique).
- Sales offices in San Diego (Californie), Paris (France).
- Studio and sales office in Rennes[5].

The company is founded in January, 21st 2004 in London, the same year a production studio is created in Romania. In 2005 AMA releases its first JAVA products on the market, mainly life-style applications. Between 2006 and 2008, AMA negociates contracts with different carriers in more than 40 countries to diffuse its products : America, Europe, then India and China and finally South America. The year 2009 is a turning lane concerning the beginning of AMA's products distribution on iPhone[6] while continuing JAVA development . This same year, the company works with Ubisoft on Shaun White Snowboarding licence. 2 years later, a new license contract is dealt with Konami for PES 2011 and AMA releases its first free to play Android titles. In 2012, titles such as Stars vs Paparazzi and Panic Flight reach more than 600 000 downloads and Babel Rising 3D and Love Test Calculator will have more than 3 millions downloads each on iPhone and Android[7] [8]. The studio publishes main Ubisoft licences such as Prince of Persia and Rayman Jungle Run. As a reward of this journey, AMA is recognized «Top Developer» by Google[9]. This recognition allows it to directly answer to its players posts and marks on the Google Play and to improve its customer service and its reactivity to update its products.
