La famille des Thomisidae est un taxon d'araignées aranéomorphes. Plusieurs espèces sont mimétiques de diverses parties végétales (surtout les fleurs), qui leur servent de support pour la chasse à l'affût. Elles ont des pattes antérieure I et II plus fortes et plus longues que les postérieures III et IV et dirigées latéralement, ce qui leur vaut le nom vernaculaire d'araignées-crabes. Certaines espèces sont parfois baptisées thomises.
