Les Agelenidae sont une famille d'araignées aranéomorphes. Cette famille comprend notamment les agélènes et les tégénaires.

Ce sont des araignées dont les filières postérieures sont longues et possèdent deux articles. La toile de ces espèces est en forme de nappe, avec retraite tubulaire.
Distribution [modifier]
Les espèces de cette famille se rencontrent sur tous les continents sauf aux pôles.
Taxonomie [modifier]
Cette famille rassemble 1 153 espèces dans 68 genres.
La place familiale du genre Coelotes et de ces alliés[1] est discutée, ce sont des Agelenidae pour Miller & al. 2010[2] après avoir été placés dans les Amaurobiidae[3] ou les Coelotidae[4].
