Ben Keith est un guitariste de rock américain, né à Fort Riley (Texas) le 6 mars 1937 et décédé le 27 juillet 2010 en Californie.

Biographie

Musicien de studio à Nashville durant les années 1950 et 1960, ancien membre de The Stray Gators, il a participé à de nombreuses formations majeures de la scène rock depuis les années 1970, en particulier avec Neil Young. Il a collaboré avec Terry Reid, Todd Rundgren, Lonnie Mack, The Band, Bob Dylan pour le single George Jackson, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Paul Butterfield, J. J. Cale, Linda Ronstadt, Warren Zevon, Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Anne Murray et Ringo Starr.

Il joua le rôle de "Grandpa Green" dans le film de Neil Young Greendale.
