}} Doris Lamprecht is an Austrian mezzo-soprano.

Biography[modifier | modifier le code]

Doris Lamprecht was born in Linz, Austria. Her mother was a composer of Austrian folk songs and her father a civil servant. She made her singing debut at age 8 in various choirs and singing groups. She was the star of her high school choir and participated in several tours as a solo singer in England, Finland and Germany. At age 20 she auditioned for a part in a well-known Austrian Folk group that was playing in a tent at the Fête des Loges in Saint Germain en Laye, near Paris.  Paris, where she would stay.

Pushed by a friend, Doris Lamprecht took the entrance exam to the Conservatoire de Boulogne where she became Geori Boué’s student for 2 years. Subsequently, she studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris and was awarded the opera singing prize in the class of Jane Berbié. She completed her training at the Atelier Lyrique de l’Opéra in Paris with Michel Sénéchal and took Masterclasses with renowned teachers such as Christa Ludwig, Daniel Ferro, Lorraine Nubar, Sena Jurinac, Anthony Rolf Johnson, Véra Rosza, Heather Harper, Nancy Evans, as well as advanced courses in Melody and Lied with Gérard Souzay, Dalton Baldwin, Gerald Moore, Martin Isepp and above all Ruben Lifschitz.

Doris Lamprecht is the mother of three children.

Since 2016 Doris Lamprecht is a voice teacher at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional CRR de Paris and at the Conservatoire de Musique du 9ème arrondissement CMA9 in Paris.

Interpretations[modifier | modifier le code]

Doris Lamprecht is known for her exceptional scenic and vocal presence in a broad repertoire extending from Monteverdi, Bach, Händel to contemporary composers including Höller, Manoury, Greif and Aperghis.

Through her personality  and  musical sense, she earned high marks in La Belle Hélène in Zürich, directed by Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Rigoletto in Strasbourg, La Traviata at Les Chorégies d’Orange, La Vie Parisienne, La Périchole, The Magic Flute, Platée by Jean-Philippe Rameau, directed by Laurent Pelly who also selected her to act in one of his theater projects. These same features also helped her succeed in Madame Boulingrin (Les Boulingrin, creation by G. Aperghis) as well as Lady Pamela (Fra Diavolo by Auber)  at the Opéra Comique in Paris, Ermerance (Veronique by Messager) staged by Fanny Ardent at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.

She received high marks for her exceptional performances in Brigitta (Die Tote Stadt by Korngold), Madame de Berkenfield (The Daughter of the Regiment by Donizetti) and Die Knusperhexe (Hänsel and Gretel by Humperdinck) at the Opéra National de Paris.

Her recent successful roles include die Knusperhexe (Hänsel et Gretel in Paris), Marthe (Faust in Amsterdam and Paris), Gertrude (Hamlet), Marzelline (Le Nozze di Figaro), Larina (Eugen Onegin in Strasbourg, Geneva and Munich) Madame de Croissy (Dialogues des Carmélites in Nantes and Angers) and Madame de la Haltière (Cindarella at the Liceu in Barcelona).
