Thaikovsky, G. Verdi, A. Borodin, A. Boito, that triumphantly ended the 2022 cultural season. The 7th edition of the project is programmed for 2023.

Biography[modifier | modifier le code]

Singer, composer, choirmaster and conductor. From the age of 8, he studied piano, singing, violin and viola.[2]

Luciano Bibiloni is artistic and musical director of the Youth and 6 other choirs of the Opéra national du Rhin called "La Maîtrise de l'Opéra National du Rhin", in Strasbourg. France, since 2013. He has conducted the choirs and the Saint-Etienne Cathedral's Choir in Toulouse, France, between 2009 and 2013, artistically, pedagogically and musically, also composing for various offices, celebrations and shows.

Bibiloni founded the Orchestre du Rhin in 2013, an orchestral ensemble bringing together the best musicians from both sides of the Rhine. In 2016, he created the project "A vos marques, prêts...chantez!" which he conducts, bringing together sometimes more than a thousand artists, professionals and amateurs, children and adults altogether with varied choral programmes, using musical practice as a vector for artistic dissemination and social inclusion.

From 2017 to 2019, he conducted the famous choir "Maîtrise de Garçons de Colmar", having also conducted from 2006 to 2009 the Maîtrise de Paris of the Paris Conservatoire.

Luciano was artistic director of the Festival au Pays du Mont Blanc from 2008 to 2014. In 2015, he created and directs the Festival en Pays d'Alsace, taking place in Oberbronn nowadays.

He studied composition at the National University of La Plata, Argentina, and in Spain, with Josep Soler, simultaneously with his studies of piano, violin and singing. [2] His output includes works for chamber ensembles, symphony orchestra with and without choir, and mixed works (acoustic and electroacoustic instruments). Luciano Bibiloni is also a graduate of the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse in Paris.

Bibiloni is and has been a professor in different institutions in his country and in France, and has received distinctions as a composer. Among them, from the Society of Composers of Spain (SAGE) in 2001, and the first Prize for Choral Works of the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1998, without counting the numerous distinctions for his premieres recognised by the SACEM (Society of Authors and Publishers, France).

He is currently completing the composition of a cycle of five pieces called "Entropias", including a Mass, for triple choir and symphony orchestra. The cycle is composed in a language accessible to the general public, without making concessions on the level of compositional rigour and without renouncing the conquests of 20th and 21st century music (including spectralism, serialism and neo-tonality).

La Maîtrise[modifier | modifier le code]

Six ensembles united by the same passion for singing[modifier | modifier le code]

The Maîtrise brings together around one hundred and twenty young artists aged between seven and eighteen, divided into six choral ensembles according to their age, experience and vocal maturity: the Vocal Garden, the Preparatory Choir, the Intermediate Choir, the Children's Choir, the Teenage Choir and the Men's Choir. Motivation, passion and vocal health are the three key words for joining the musical forces of the Maîtrise, whose regular recruitments, open to all - whatever their level of knowledge of music theory - are followed by a period of vocal, choral and stage training, to enable new recruits to tackle a vast repertoire in the best possible conditions.

A variety of lyrical and musical offerings[modifier | modifier le code]

The Maîtrise de l'OnR performs a vast repertoire, ranging from the great classics to contemporary works. It performs on the different stages of the OnR according to the needs of its programming. This season, the ensemble is taking part in the performances of the opera Carmen, as well as in the concerts around the Passion of the Little Match Girl and La Marseillaise pour tout le monde. In addition to these performances, the Maîtrise also presents an independent concert programme, both in the region and abroad. In preparation: The Multicultural Messiah after Handel (Dec. 2021 in Strasbourg), Scenes and Choirs of Opera (June 2022 at the Meinau Stadium) and a tour of Argentina in April 2022.[3]
