PGS Entertainment is an international brand management company dedicated to children’s entertainment programming and targeting the entertainment fields of broadcast television, DVD, VOD and SVOD, licensing and merchandising. Formed in 2008 by brothers Philippe and Guillaume Soutter, PGS[1] has earned a reputation for representing highly sought after animated shows[2].[modifier | modifier le code]
Over the past six years, PGS has secured international distribution for such animated series as The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupéry and produced by Method Animation; Iron Man from Marvel; Super 4[3], the Playmobil® series from morgen; and ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks from Bagdasarian Productions and OuiDo! Productions[4]. Recent developments include the Smiley® series with OuiDo!.[5]
PGS has broadcast and media partners on all five continents, including all networks Nickelodeon, Disney, Cartoon Network and leading free-to-air broadcasters such as Super RTL , RAI, ABC, Neox, YTV, TVQ and many more[6].
PGS is also focused on developing new brands such as the award-winning[7] The Jungle Bunch from TAT Productions and Miraculous Ladybug from Zagtoon.
Recently, in order to support intellectual property (IP) owners with a more global approach to their brand development, PGS expanded into licensing and merchandising representation. Among the brands it is representing is The Jungle Bunch for which it launched an international retail program in 2013[8].
Today, PGS is one of the top distributers of animated media content, as recognized by Kidscreen Magazine’s Hot50 rankings[9], to leading broadcasters and partners across the world. The company has also received twice industry acknowledgement and awards for its excellence in distribution in 2011 for The Little Prince and in 2013 for The Jungle Bunch[10].
PGS remains a privately owned group, founded and operated by Philippe and Guillaume Soutter. In 2013, PGS expanded operations in Asia through a partnership with PGS HK Ltd., which is run by Guillaume Soutter[11]. The company also maintains offices in Paris and London.
