Jaya House Hotels is a boutique hotel group in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Jaya House Hotels first opened Jaya House River Park in December 2016[1] with 36 luxurious large rooms[2], 2 pools including one silver tiled swimming pool, a restaurant, and spa[3]. This 1960s Cambodian Modernism inspired design[4] hotel is all-inclusive, from laundry, complimentary massage, tuk-tuk service to and from the temples, mini bar, and breakfast. The hotel’s restaurant called Trorkuon serves a mix of Khmer and Western dishes, including vegan and gluten-free options. Most of the produce is grown on-site or comes from local farms, and all the breads, pastries, ice creams, and teas are made in-house[5]. The bathrooms of Jaya House River Park carry Jaya Organics products, its own skincare[6] and in-room amenities brand launched in July 2019. The products include natural shampoo, conditioner, body cleanser, body lotion and hand wash that are made in Cambodia[7].

Jaya House River Park[8] is located near Angkor Wat and known for its environmentally friendly approach[9], from Refill The World initiative[10] by RefillNotLandfill, a grassroot campaign that was started by Christian de Boer, the Managing Director of jaya House Hotels and fellow hotelier, Dean McLachan[11]. It’s a program where guest are given water bottle during their stay so there are no more plastic bottles in the hotel[12]. Refill The World set up refill stations throughout the city of Siem Reap for the tourists to refill their bottles and over 1,200 stations across South East Asia[13].

The hotel has their tree planting program[14] (with up to 1300 trees planted[15] to date), promotes local artisans by using Small Art School’s paintings all around the hotel and NGO like Rehash Trash[16], Cambodian Landmine Museum[17] and Green Gecko Center for Street Children[18]. It is one of the most socially conscious hotels in the industry with more than 120 local staff[19] . Jaya House Hotels is opening up two more hotels in Siem Reap, called Jaya House Angkor Park[20] and Jaya House Residences[21]. The hotel has won awards such as one of the most romantic spots for honeymoon in 2019 by Brides Magazine[22], named Sustainable Hotel by Newsweek [23]and its own RefillTheWorld campaign received Travel Vanguard 2019 Award by AFAR[24] media.
