Company History

[modifier | modifier le code]

The company began in 1993 in Belgium with the creation of its first portable x-ray generator for crawler technology: SITEX C3003 used specifically in non-destructive testing (NDT) for industries. The SITEX brand continued to enlarge with the arrival of some directional and panoramic generators becoming rapidly well-known in the x-ray sector.

In 2002, ICM developed a battery-operated constant potential portable x-ray generator: the CPBattery range.

A couple of years later, the XSpector detector was replaced by the Flatscan which helped ICM to extend its presence in the security market.

Teledyne Technologies acquired ICM X-RAY in 2015 which became Teledyne ICM.

The portfolio continued to expand with the launch of the Go-Scan digital x-ray detector range. The Go-Scan detector is the first one to be developed in partnership with Teledyne DALSA, a sister company of Teledyne ICM. Teledyne ICM designed and manufactured the product while using the CMOS detector of Teledyne DALSA.

In 2021, Teledyne ICM launched its first "Security bundle" and "NDT Bundle" that include an x-ray generator, detector, and software specifically adapted to the security or NDT market.
