Kaiji Kawaguchi (かわぐち かいじ, Kawaguchi Kaiji ) est un mangaka japonais né le à Onomichi dans la préfecture de Hiroshima.
Biographie
Kaiji Kawaguchi (川口 開治, Kawaguchi Kaiji ) nait le à Onomichi. Il fait ses débuts en 1968 avec Yoru ga aketara (夜が明けたら , lit. « le soir se lève »).
L'auteur est connu pour ses œuvres dont les thèmes analysent la situation du pays sur fond de guerre et de tensions politiques internationales[1]

Récompenses
Il a obtenu le Prix du manga Kōdansha à trois reprises : en 1987 pour Actor, en 1990 pour Chinmoku no kantai et en 2002 pour Zipang.
Spirit of the Sun a obtenu le 51e prix Shōgakukan en 2006[2].
