Andrias est un genre d'urodèles de la famille des Cryptobranchidae[1].
Répartition
[modifier | modifier le code]Les six espèces de ce genre se rencontrent au Japon et dans l'ouest de la Chine[1].

Il est important de rappeler que la diversité des salamandres géantes (surtout en Chine), est encore inconnue, mais sûrement plus importante qu'on ne le pense[9].
