Hi,

On English Wikipedia, I created a new article relating to one of well known feminist slogan namely 'My body my choice' @ en:Draft:My body my choice (Feminism). As of now it is far from complete and needs proactive copy edit support to include related remaining aspects.

I have been suggested to seek more international perspectives in the article,- whether be it advocacy or criticism of the slogan- like wise requesting direct editing / copy edit support .

Suggestions about suitable references are welcome on en:Draft talk:My body my choice (Feminism)

Looking forward to your kind support.

Thanks in advance. Warm regards

Hi @Bookku thanks for reaching out! I suppose this follows the scandal around Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar? And you want to include more historical perspective? I have seen this in the francophone press https://www.20min.ch/ro/news/monde/story/-Tu-es-une-femme-bon-marche--ferme-la---24255355 https://www.elle.fr/Societe/News/Journee-internationale-des-droits-des-femmes-Adele-Haenel-et-Celine-Sciamma-presentes-a-la-marche-3861247 https://www.boursedirect.fr/fr/actualites/categorie/a-la-une/journee-internationale-des-droits-des-femmes-vers-une-convergence-des-luttes-feministes-afp-c64fa39d80a69b1beafdd157c64118e533aa746a

Otherwise for the feminist campaign My body my right, it translates into "MOn corps, mon choix" in French and is a reference to the campaigns in favor of abortion rights for women.

Hello @Nattes à chat Greetings and thanks for your early, nice and useful response.

As you rightly said My body my right, Urdu translation Mera Jism Meri Marzi came for public debate and we already created a separate article about south Asian (i.e. Pakistan+India) perspective on English Wikipedia under heading :en:Mera Jism Meri Marzi . But it primarily lacks global historical background and perspective. Since many Pakistani do not know proper global context there is increase in backlash there. So I thought it would be better to have a separate article ' @ en:Draft:My body my choice (Feminism) with global perspectives. Like you have given links like articles on links https://www.cairn.info/r and https://cafaitgenre.org seem useful references

My body my right (MOn corps, mon choix") is almost a 50 year old slogan and the slogan deserves better and more inclusive article like one of your link shows women went to registrar office to register their bodies as their own property as form of protest, now all such things deserve to be taken note of @ en:Draft:My body my choice (Feminism) article. Once article becomes inclusive at good level we can get it translated in all languages. That is how I think.

While I read & liked both the last 2 links shared by you (with google translator) Since I do not know french may be you yourself can add information in the @ en:Draft:My body my choice (Feminism) or if you can not spare time for some reason pl. do request some one else who can do that. Pl. let me know.

Thanks and warm regards

@Noé I also see no entry on the wiktionnary of the term... I dont really contribute on that project but maybe I could give it a try with this?

I have also worked on English Wikiquote :q:en:Mera Jism Meri Marzi . On en Wikiquote My body my choice & Mera jism meri marzi is common article.

Idea of having Wiktionary entry too is good and helpful .

Thanks & regards

Well it seems it is not fit for wiktionnary according to Noe. I'll follow his advice...
