Sreedhar N., also known as Sreedhar Natarajan was born in in India. He is a business man, and the current Chief Financial Officer of the Saint-Gobain Group.
Biography
[modifier | modifier le code]Sreedhar N., is a qualified management accountant. He holds a master’s degree in commerce and a master’s degree in management from Nagpur University.[1]
Career
[modifier | modifier le code]He joined Saint-Gobain group in 1994, first as management controller.
He has, since, occupied various positions.
In 2003, he is named Financial director for the abrasives business in India, before moving to Paris where he is promoted internal auditor and financial controller.
In 2006, he became financial director of the construction products business for Western Europe, before moving back in India, in 2008, to become managing director of the coated abrasives business.
Two years later, in 2010, Sreedhar N. evolved as managing director of the entire abrasives business in India.
Five years later, in 2015, he became financial director of the high-performance materials business.
On January 2, 2019, Sreedhar N. makes history among the Saint-Gobain group, as he is promoted[2] Group's financial director and member of the executive committe.[3] With this new role, alongside his team[4], he became the first Non-French Group Chief Financial Officer in the 355 year-long history [5]of the Saint-Gobain Group.
In 2021, in an interview from the Wall Street Journal,[6]Sreedhar N. shared his views on the importance of CFOs to incorporate ESG metrics as standard fare[7].
“We need to take a broad and long-term view…and look at the intangibles that any investment can bring to the table, we need to look at the bigger picture”
Personal life
[modifier | modifier le code]Sreedhar N. is married to Aparna Sreedhar[8]. She is an all India Radio Artist with specialized training in Hindustani Classical music.[9]
Aparna and Sreedhar have twin boys, who are currently students in computer science and electrical engineering in the US.
