MiniLab

Minilab 3

The MiniLab is a small 25-key MIDI controller designed by Arturia for music production and performance.

intro[modifier | modifier le code]

MiniLab 3 is a compact MIDI controller released in 2022. Big brother of the MicroLab, it features 25 velocity-sensitive mini-keys, two encoders, eight assignable knobs, four vertical sliders, eight velocity-sensitive pads, and two wheels for pitch and modulation control. Its relatively small form factor is more suitable for portable users, or for studio environments with limited space. It offers compatibility with MacOs, PC as well as software and hardware production tools.

History[modifier | modifier le code]

MiniLab 3 is the third revision of the original MiniLab which was released in 2013.

The first MiniLab featured a 25-note velocity sensitive slim keyboard, and eight pads, but instead of the screen and sliders, it featured 16 endless encoders. The shift pad allowed for changing the midi channel (shift+notes ) and to switch Midi presets (shift+drum pad).

In 2016, Arturia released an updated version of the MiniLab, called MiniLab mk2. It featured a set of eight pads alongside 16 knobs and an updated overall design of the controller.
