Changes page 'Groupe Proximus'

Hi @Lebrouillard,

I work for a marketing agency (iO) and try to do text modifications on Proximus' French Wikipedia page on behalf of Proximus. (Groupe Proximus)

Unfortunately, we have to note that our changes are always being deleted, even though they are written truthfully and do not in any way have the purpose of advertising.

Is it possible to provide us with more info on why our text modifications are not accepted? Then we can look at adjusting this in consultation with you.

Hello. In addition, please note that creating multiple accounts with the same business goal is highly prohibited on WP. Then, after being sure that the account is fully declared, and that no other account is used, you will be able to participate on the article's discussion page. Regards. Hi @Lebrouillard, first of all my apologies, I wasn't aware this was the way of working of Wikipedia.

If I understand correctly: if my colleague who works on the content uploads:

• indicates on her user page that she is working for iO and Proximus is paying iO to do the uploads
• and if she is the only one doing the uploads

Her account will be unblocked? Because now we can't contribute to the page. In this way, you want be able to check when it's done, since we can't make any changes. Or is there another way to proceed with this?

Hi @Kirham, @Lebrouillard, my colleague @IOjenniferVR wants to start contributing to the page of 'Groupe Proximus' but her account is still blocked. How can she starts contributing? Hi @Kirham, thank you! What is the best way to continue with the content changes? We make a contribution on the discussion page first and then you can review before it's set live?

As long as it is factual and backed by independent sources, it should be fine. The requirement was only to disclose it. The best would be that you don't work both on the same article (you could coordinate on a discussion page), but it's not prohibited per se. Hi @Kirham, Jennifer will make the change and I'll coordinate via the discussion page. Jennifer just checked but she still can't make any changes to the page since the page is under supervision:

"You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason:Semi-protected page This page is under extended semi-protection.This means that only users who have been registered for more than three months and have 500 contributions can edit it."

Hi, this restriction was put into place to "force" Proximus people to suggest their edits in the discussion page, in order to make sure they are in line with the rules and recommendations of Wikipedia.
