Zdebe is a nickname that was given to me many years ago by my friends. I was born in Valence, in the South East of France. After more than ten years of practising law with a U.S. law firm, I have been traveling around the world for some time.
For these trips, I am using mostly "soft" transportation means, including
- public transportations, avoiding as much as possible air planes and high speed trains, in order to have the time to enjoy the landscape and share time with local people in their daily life;
- bicycle;
- canadian canoe and kayak (although some part of the world, in particular in western Europe, but also in America Latina, are becoming harder and harder to navigate due to environmental concerns);
- and the most useful of all tools, my legs.
Also a passionate mountaineer, I love climbing and just getting lost hiking across dramatic landscapes in remote places, usually leaving almost all electronic devices and connections to electronic networks aside.
Now living in Paris, I dedicate my time to the world of art, in particular classical ballet dancing.
As far as languages are concerned, I speak French, my native language, but also English which I have learned in the U.S. when spending a year there as an exchange student, German which I also learned in Germany as an exchange student, Spanish and Portuguese, which I learned at school and practised intensively traveling across America Latina.
