"Jean Patou est né en 1887..."

Hi,
The page and this ref may say Patou was born in 1887.

Pas si sûr...

• Look at the official Jean Patou's website, click on the left side red flower A century of creation, then on Moments of a century, then on 1880-1919, so you arrive to the biography where it's written that Jean Patou is born in 1887.
• Also, for the MSN Encarta website, Jean Patou is born in 1887.
• Your google search is not really better than a 1887 google. In the 1887 search, the “1887's” in the results often correspond to the year of birth of J. Patou, but the “1880's” in a lot of results in the 1880 search don't correspond to a year of birth.

Another point : Jean Patou participated as a soldier to the World War I in 1915. If he was born in 1880, he would have been 35, it seems rather old for participating to this war (but, maybe he was an officier...). So, I decided to rewrite the 1887 birth year, I added a Jean Patou's official website reference, and I put a Référence à confirmer model.
