James Ross, DPhil, est un chef d'orchestre et auteur britannique.

Carrière professionnelle[modifier | modifier le code]

James Ross a étudié l’histoire et la musique à l’Université d’Oxford, avec un doctorat sur l’opéra dans la France de la Troisième République. Il a été finaliste dans le concours de direction du Philharmonique de la BBC en 1998 et a dirigé plus de 850 oeuvres en 15 pays en Europe, en Amérique du Nord et en Asie, y compris un repertoire important des oeuvres françaises.[1] [2] [3] [3] [4]

Il est director de musique de plusieurs orchestres et choeurs en Grand Bretagne, il a une experience considerable de l’opéra, des studios d’enregistrement et de la musique contemporaine.[5] [6] [7] [8] Il a largement publié y compris plusieurs livres et revues internationals de la musique, et a été conférencier invite à la Bibliothèque nationale de France.
