Brouillon DMT

[modifier | modifier le code]Avant même d'être mise en évidence dans divers organismes vivants, la DMT fut synthétisée en laboratoire en 1931 par le chimiste canadien Richard Manske (1901–1977).

[modifier | modifier le code]Un résultat bien établi est que la DMT interagit avec plusieurs familles et sous-types de récepteurs à la sérotonine présents dans le cortex humain : les 5-HT1A[1], 5-HT1D[1], 5-HT2A[1][2][3] et 5-HT2C[3][4][5]. Il a également été montré qu'elle présente une affinité affinity vis à vis des récepteurs D1, α1-adrenergic, α2-adrenergic, imidazoline-1, sigma-1, and trace amine-associated receptors.[4][1][6]
