· CYANN · is the solo project of female French born musician, composer, pianist & Singer/Songwriter Alex Simon, based in Berlin and former member of Parisian experimental rock band Cyann & Ben.
Cyann first came into the public eye with the band Cyann & Ben. From 2001 to 2008, the band released 3 albums: Spring (2003), Happy Like an Autumn Tree and Sweet Beliefs which were signed to French electronica label Gooom Disques / Pias before signing to Ever Records/!K7 in Germany and Locust in US. They has had several tours in Europe and North America where they played at the South by Southwest (SWSX) 2007 in Austin, Texas. This led to many collaborations including label partners M83 on their second album “Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts" and the most notable being the remix of the song "In Church" which appears on the soundtrack of the American Independent movie "Stranger than Fiction" by Marc Forster.
Cyann left the band in early 2009 to pursue her solo career. She is currently based in Berlin and recording a new album.
