The rule of the "seven differences at least" is no longer respected and the derivative improved works is more and more difficult to do, while the scope of copyright is widening: today all the images, even a scientific scheme, even a picture anonymously worked by a scientific team and showed in a public free site or place, even a cartographic schematic backgroud, must today be the property of someone, even unknown. Because I have uploaded some images improperly, I have ask to the Commons administrators to delete all that they consider necessary, and I thought of course that they would exercise their discernment (and many of them have kindly done so) to differentiate between an original creative work of art, and an improvable, uneligible & updatable cartographic or scientific utility anonymous image.
But today (january 2018) I am blocked on Commons by our colleague Elcobbola who thinks that a few dozen errors on hundreds (maybe thousands) of downloads, are so criminal, that I have to be wiped off the list of contributors forever. He also thinks that it is impossible for several members of the same association to have different accounts under the same IP and that my belonging to two non-profit french scientific societies : "Mer Nature" [www.mer-nature.org] and "Centre archéologique du Var [1] is a lie - therefore I necessarly can be a sockpuppet of the older contributor of our fellows : Cepleanu. So, sure that only its own logic is true, Elcobbola also blocked for ever on Commons the two IPs of these two scientific associations. Since on Commons I am fired as a criminal because the judge is also the prosecutor, there is no lawyer and no one to check if I am lying or if I say true, I resigned forever from Wikipedia, simultaneously with my other fellows who had contributed.
