System to get images on articles by checking if Wikipedia and/or Wikidata have an image and providing lists of pages that can be improved. This system was created on the Dutch Wikipedia and I have introduced it on the Danish, German and Chinese Wikipedia. So far images have been added to 200 pages on fr.wikipedia.

- Category:No local image but image on Wikidata - 29 pages (<- add images to Wikipedia)
- Category:Local image same as Wikidata - 7.760 pages (<-- no change needed)
- Category:Local image different then Wikidata - 2.096 pages (<-- no change needed)
- Category:No local image and no image on Wikidata - 18.015 pages (<-- Wikidata is incomplete, img can exist)
- Category:Local image but no image on Wikidata - 1.422 pages (<-- add images to Wikidata)
Total pages covered by the system: 29.322 (1.93% of all pages).

How you can help[modifier | modifier le code]
- Go to Category:No local image but image on Wikidata and add images from Wikidata to the articles on Wikipedia.
The system will update itself once you have added an image to an article, though this might take halve a day.
Note; Some pages cannot be improved and will clutter the category, ignore these
Problems you can run into[modifier | modifier le code]
After images have been added to all articles some articles will be left without images. This is due to some images on Wikidata not being usefull to Wikipedia, or because there is a second template on the page without an image, or because the images are on the page, but not in the template. About 15% of the pages in Category:No local image but image on Wikidata cannot be improved. This amount will increase as improved pages are taken off the list. Eventually all pages on the list cannot be improved. It will then only function as a way to monitor any changes.
How it works[modifier | modifier le code]
This is done by Template:Wikidata image, which when added to a template can see whether or not the pages that use that template have an image in the template. The pages are then put in a category to differentiate them. To add the template Wikidata image, add the following to a template and change the "image"to whatever that templates uses, like "image" or "Image" or "bild":
