San Lorenzo Guitars is the french company and trademark of lap steel guitar and other fretted guitars founded by Sébastien SANTILLI luthier (guitar maker) in 2012 and based near Aix-en-Provence, France. Member of the alliances APLG (Association Professionnelle des Luthiers artisans en Guitare)[1] and EGB (the European Guitar Builders)[2] formed by professional independent European and french luthiers. With some builders like RainSong, Beltona Resonator Instruments or Blackbird Guitars, San Lorenzo Guitars is among the recent of few Composite material guitars builders in activity.
Materials and concepts[modifier | modifier le code]
Particularity of San Lorenzo instruments concepts [3] is to use Composite material as Carbon fibers in add to other natural fibers like Bamboo or Lin to increase tone capacity, and humidity stability of instruments. Combine with the lastest generation of biosourced resin to reduce ecological impact. The Wairua model has been exposed during the 2016 JEC World Show [4] in Paris for its novative design and finish quality.
