Derrick Hoffman, born in March 5 1989 at Salt Lake City, is an american soccer player. He plays at the post of scorer for Premier League club Chelsea and the American national team.

He played when he was young at the little club of Salt lake city SC. His level in soccer grew ir to have the level to be a student athlete in Utah State University. He was noticed by the club of LA Galaxy where he began at the season 2011-2012.

In confidence, he performed and at the age of 23 years, he goes over the record of goals in one season of MLS (34) with 41 goals.

With this excellent season, the club of Inter Milan didn't hesitate one second to give their services of the American genius with a transfer for 30 million dollars.

Despite a big injure who took away Hoffman of the pitch for 53 games, he close a good passage three years after his start in a club. We can remember him in Serie A with his 72 goals, 14 assist and his great connection with Samuel Eto'o.

He wants to found new challenges in new competitions, so he went free to Bayer Munich and signed to play six season. The first four season were a success, Hoffman played very well, he is integrated in the team and the fans love him but at the last season, in 2020, the arrival of Leroy Sane from Man City and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting from PSG began to drive away Hoffman of the plans of his coach, Hans Dieter Flick.

Hoffman is obligated to leave the club. He found a point of chute at Chelsea in London where he can play again.

At 31 years and deficiency of form, it's possible for him to retire from professional soccer.
