Right now I'm not sure I really want to be a contributor.

Supposedly I am just the kind of person that Wikipedia is reaching out to as a contributor. At the moment I'm involved heavily in self publishing my debut novel, so I don't have the time to waste in unproductive pursuits. I've spent enough time here to know that the mark up is not intuitive, and any future contributions I make will require re-learning it all.

But that isn't even the worst of it.

For me, the sticking point is deletionism. I have mutiple blogs and websites. I have my own work to do, if I'm going to create content, why should I do it here where it is likely to be deleted?

Why should I participate in a forum where my words are likely to go unheard because I'm bullied for being new?
