Alvaro Dias Huizar (born 28 July 1979, Caracas) is a Mexican-Venezuelan chess player and FIDE Master since August 2013. He is currently residing in Europe (France). He played in National A French league with the Sautron Chess Club in where he protagonized a polemic chess game (resign) in a winning position against the recognized Grand Master Alexandre Colovic, who accused him to cheat due to the computer precision in his moves. He is also Corporate Lawyer, LLM in private Law, Professor and PhD candidate for the University of Nantes, France and the University of Southampton, UK.
