DescriptionSeal of Gunungkidul Regency.svg	Bahasa Indonesia: Lambang Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Berbentuk perisai berkelopak lima yang di dalamnya terdapat bintang, pohon beringin berdahan tiga, roda gerigi, daun singkong, busur panah berwarna merah dan putih, burung walet kembar, delapan gunung, empat gelombang air dengan jumlah keseluruhan 17, rumput laut, padi berbulir lima, kapas berdaun delapan dan berbuah empat, keris, pita bertuliskan "GUNUNGKIDUL", dan pita di bagian atas bertuliskan Dhaksinarga Bhumikarta. Dhaksinarga Bhumikarta bermakna "pegunungan selatan yang makmur negerinya, makmur rakyatnya". Lambang ini dibuat berdasarkan karya Tjipta Swasana, salah satu pegawai di lingkungan Kabupaten Gunungkidul pada tahun 1968 dan dikukuhkan dalam Peraturan Daerah No. 1 Tahun 1968, dan menjalani penyempurnaan hingga mendapatkan tampilan yang saat ini digunakan di Portal Resmi Pemkab Gunungkidul, yang menjadi rujukan atas gambar ini.
