Construction year Ruzizi II bridge[modifier le code]
The bridge on the photo is indeed the bridge near Bukavu (6km from the centre) but I propose a different construction year. The bridge was inaugurated in july 1957 by amongst others the ex-king Leopold III of Belgium and was probably built around 1956-1957. Vital Vanheule, my father-in-law was chief engineer and responsible for building the bridge as well as the road from Bukavu to Uvira. At building time there was no name like Pont Ruzizi II yet.
