English: Kraków History 1794-1990, “Always Faithful the Catholic Church in the Service of Poland’s Independence”.
Visitors to Kraków in the summer of 2018 were given ‘snapshots’ of some of the remarkable history of the city through poster displays scattered around the outskirts of the ‘Old Town’. From the establisment of the Bar Confederation in 1768 and the Kościuszko Uprising in 1794 through the Kraków Uprising in 1746 and the events of the ’Spring of Nations’ in 1748 to the calamities of war and oppressive occupations by powerful neighbours Kraków today is a captivating city proudly reflecting on its past in a now independent and free Poland. The Scotch Mist Gallery contains many photographs of historic buildings, monuments and memorials of Poland. Polski: Historia Krakowa 1794-1990, “Zawsze Wierny. Kościół dla Niepodległej”.
