Active 2012-2016 working with own programs using pywikibot.

Now trying to understand the new authorisation process. My present understanding - more guess than understanding - is that I need 5 editions on meta with the bot account to make it autoconfirmed and able to ask for tokens.

It seems weird that editing this page this way to make 5 editions (this is the 6th since 2012) could be related to getting the bot allowed.
