La kynurénine 7,8-hydroxylase est une oxydoréductase qui catalyse la réaction :
- kynurénate + AH2 + O2 7,8-dihydro-7,8-dihydroxykynurénate + A.
Cette enzyme intervient dans le métabolisme du tryptophane.
