Being a numismatist he became a geographer, an anthropologist, anarchaeologist, an historian, an economist, a student of governments, andpolitical systems,and religions, and mythology, and symbolism,and heraldry,and art. He collected coins, currency, medals. He corresponded withscholars, and societies of scholars.
