English: It is the second largest species after Siberian tiger. Its coat is yellow to light orange, with stripes ranging from dark brown to black; the belly & the interior parts of the limbs are white, & the Two white stops on the back of ears, mimic eyes. Nose & paw color is pink. Tail is orange with black rings & a muscular body.

Facts 1. The tiger is the biggest species of the cat family. It is considered to belong to the world's Charismatic megafauna. It is the national animal of both India & Bangladesh. It used to be called Royal Bengal tiger. 2. Native to the Indian Subcontinent. The tiger is estimated to be present in the Indian subcontinent since the Late Pleistocene, for about 12,000 to 16,500 years. 3. Tigers are icons of beauty, power, & the importance of conservation.
