Description
English: Lindisfarne Gospels or “Durham Book” in the Cottonian Library. The text is in very exactly formed half-uncials, differing but slightly from the same characters in Irish MSS.

Auteur Said to have been written by Eadfrith, bishop of Lindisfarne, about the year 700. Glossed in the Northumbrian dialect by Aldred, a writer of the 10th century.
