Response on Pldx1's talk page that doesn't need to be posted there at the moment:

I am not under any obligation to defend myself against personal attacks and hounding like the above, but just for the record: I have been blocked seven times over a period of 39 months; of these, one (the first) was in error (I was blocked for supposedly violating a mutual IBAN, when the other party to the IBAN was the one in violation) and the blocking admin quickly thereafter apologized, two (the second and the seventh) were removed fairly quickly on appeal, two more (the fifth and the sixth) were mutual with another party in an edit-war (I apologized and made amends, while the other party did not and has hardly edited Wikipedia since their last block expired), and I'm not going to take the bait by discussing the other two. * JoshuSasori's involvement should be disregarded, as he was then in the middle of a hounding campaign in which he reverted virtually all of my edits, and was later site-banned for his on- and off-wiki harassment of me. His agreeing with CurtisNaito in this case was not a carefully considered position based on the merits the article as CurtisNaito had written it.
* FutureTrillionaire was against keeping the article as is, and favoured merging. I was roundly in favour of deleting, as were most of the other delete !votes. CurtisNaito said he was interested in FutureTrillionaire's proposal, but in three years never implemented it. Given this, and the fact that he later unilaterally removed a tag that had been placed on the article following the AFD, it seems reasonable to say he was in favour of keeping a separate article on the death of Taminato.

* The dispute shifted its focus several times, from whether the English name "Teibi Incident" was appropriate to translate the "Japanese name", to whether the title of the page should be this or that regardless of whether such-and-such name is independently attested, to whether it was to be spelled "Shigisan" or "Shigisen", to whether the Japan Encyclopedia is a reliable source for any of this, to whether the incident in question ever even happened as described in the article, to whether "Shigisen" was a mountain or a plain, and finally to whether we should just drop the whole darn thing and rename the page and change its focus to something broader, and avoid all of these issues. This final solution was my proposal, and even CurtisNaito agreed with me. Phoenix7777 supported different positions on different points throughout the discussion, but generally tended to favour CurtisNaito's position more than mine.
* Nishidani, as was often the case before I adopted a more Nishidani-like editing style in 2015, took a somewhat different view of many of the problems to me, but he clearly favoured my position over CurtisNaito's overall, and would probably be downrightvoffended if it were implied he was "neutral" in any dispute involving CurtisNaito's misreading of sources.
* Shii had recently had a dispute with one of my sockpuppets (he knew it was me) on Talk:Kujiki, and was concurrently disagreeing with me over hoe to deal with the similarly disruptive Enkyo2. This was the first instance of someone who previously disputed with me coming to see things from my point of view when they saw the mess CurtisNaito made of things.
* Zero0000, Pluto2012, Enkyo2 and Stone-turner commented on my RSN thread, but were not directly involved in the dispute between CurtisNaito and myself.

* I edited almost exclusively from my stable IP rather than logging in. This was because I was afraid to edit under my user name following a chilling effect I had suffered in March of that year. ArbCom know the details.
* Nishidani and I actually did not agree at all on the substance, for philosophical reasons relating to how we felt Wikipedia articles should be structured. I have since (sometime in early 2015, around the time I created the Daini no Sanmi and Koshikibu no Naishi articles) changed my mind and would be more inclined to agree with him if asked about this today. Nishidani disagreed more radically with CurtisNaito, and we both agreed that CurtisNaito was being disruptive.
* The Satanic Sheik (a sock of Kauffner) didn't have a sincere opinion on the matter; he was editing the article to troll me, like his friend JoshuSasori before him.

* CurtisNaito's ANI thread was interesting as it accused me of BATTLEGROUND behaviour in spite of its immediate impetus being my trying to step away from a conflict.

* The involvement of Rjensen and Hko2333 ended very early on, and it is not clear they would have continued to support CurtisNaito's position after it became clear how deep the problem was.
* Nishidani, Curly Turkey and Signedzzz all had serious disagreements with each other, and with me, so putting us all on the same "side" is itself questionable, quasi-BATTLEGROUND logic. I actually attempted to act as a peacemaker between the three, which is part of what makes it so ironic that I have ben accused of "battleground" behaviour in relation to the dispute. The point is that if asked if I was the cause of disruption on the page or CurtisNaito was, they would all answer that CurtisNaito was.
* I JethroBT's comments on the talk page itself were neutral, and he blocked both me and CurtisNaito for "battleground" behaviour, but somewhat pointedly did not do the same to Curly Turkey, and I JethroBT also earlier blocked CurtisNaito for edit-warring and OWN on the page.
* Two IP editors, John Carter, Prhartcom, Relentlessly and I JethroBT all posted comments on the talk page during the dispute, but except for Prhartcom none of them explicitly commented on the dispute itself. Prhartcom encouraged all parties to work together, and all parties then active in the dispute agreed. The discussion broke down again shortly after Prhartcom left the discussion. CurtisNaito blamed me and Curly Turkey; Curly Turkey and I blamed CurtisNaito.
