Joan Brady, née en 1939 à San Francisco, est une danseuse et romancière américaine.
Biographie[modifier | modifier le code]
Elle a été danseuse du San Francisco Ballet et du New York City Ballet avant d'étudier à l'université Columbia.
En 1993, elle devient la premier femme à obtenir le Whitbread Book Awards (Meilleur roman) pour son deuxième roman, L'Enfant loué (Theory of War). En France, ce roman remporte le Prix du Meilleur livre étranger 1995.
Elle vit dans le Devon, en Grande-Bretagne.
