Modèle:Infobox Personnage (fiction)
[modifier le code]Could someone please update this infobox to transclude image of cosplay (P13632)? On Wikidata we have been moving photographs of cosplay from image (P18) to image of cosplay (P13632). These photographs are no longer being included in French Wikipedia infoboxes due to the lack of transclusion in the infobox--Trade (discuter) 30 octobre 2025 à 16:00 (CET)
- @Trade I don't think it affects French Wikipedia because {{Infobox Personnage (fiction)}} does not call P13632. The picture is locally set with the
imageparameter. Thanks for warning though, I opened a topic in the template talk page, for information. — Pharma 💬 2 janvier 2026 à 00:28 (CET)
Inquiry about attaching WikiProjects to articles about aviation disasters
[modifier le code]Hello FRwiki!
On the English Wikipedia, in regards to aircraft accidents and incidents, I typically attach the following WikiProjects:
- WikiProject Aviation and its associated task force on aircraft accidents
- The country which the airline belongs to. For example, an Air France accident anywhere in the world would be attached to WikiProject France. In the case of a multinational airline like Scandinavian Airlines, this means attaching all countries which have a stake in the airline. For example, the en:Linate disaster has the WikiProjects of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, since SAS is jointly owned by entities from all three countries.
- The country which the aviation disaster occurred in. For example, the Linate disaster is tagged for WikiProject Italy as it took place in Italy.
- en:Air France Flight 447 occurred in international waters, but due to the involvement of Brazilian authorities in the search efforts, it is also tagged WikiProject Brazil
On FRwiki I propose that Accidents de deux DC-4 d'Air France en juin 1950 should be attached to WikiProject France and WikiProject Moyen-Orient (Middle East) because:
- A. The airline was Air France
- B. The incidents took place in Bahrain, which is in the Middle East
In my view I think other articles on aviation accidents on FRwiki should be tagged in a similar way.
There may be a difference in practices between English and French Wikipedias, and so I would like to have a discussion about this, if this is alright.
Thank you! WhisperToMe (discuter) 1 novembre 2025 à 05:09 (CET)
- Hello WhisperToMe, This seems fine to me. You’ll find the list of air accidents in Catégorie:Liste d'accidents ou incidents aériens and subcategories. WP:BOLD! Best regards, —

Asking for translations
[modifier le code]I wrote several articles on the English Wikipedia that *may* meet notability standards here, and I would like to have them translated. My French is decent, but not at a high enough level where I'd feel OK doing the work myself. Where can I go to request translations?
The articles are on English Wikipedia:
- en:Liyue (Genshin Impact)
- en:Inazuma (Genshin Impact)
- en:Sumeru (Genshin Impact)
- en:Fontaine (Genshin Impact)
- en:Natlan
Any help is appreciated! Gommeh (discuter) 3 novembre 2025 à 17:11 (CET)
- Hey @Gommeh,
- You can ask here : Projet:Traduction/Bistro (Translation project) & Discussion Projet:Jeu vidéo (video game project).

Asking for Copyright
[modifier le code]Is Fichier:Logo Force Ouvrière.svg suitable in PD-text or PD-ineligible-USonly? See also commons:TOO-France. Kurgenera (discuter) 9 décembre 2025 à 04:45 (CET)
- The banners under this logo clearly say not to transfer it. I'd ask on Commons. Trizek bla 10 décembre 2025 à 12:41 (CET)
Accused of spamming
[modifier le code]
I recently added the above image to Porto (DOC). Utilisateur:Evynrhud removed it with an edit summary "Publicité", which I understand to be an accusation of advertising, or spamming.
I explained on their talk page (in English, with a Google translation into French) that this is not the case; and asked them to restore the image. Despite being very active today, they have ignored my post.
On en.Wikipedia, I would next refer this matter to administrators at their noticeboard. I don't know what the accepted practice for such escalation is on this project, and am disadvantaged by not speaking French. Please advise. Pigsonthewing (discuter) 5 janvier 2026 à 23:18 (CET)
- I'd let @Evynrhud reply; here is my own interpretation.
- I know who you are, and that you aren't adding this image to promote this wine. Not everyone know you though. And we have a lot of attempts of product placements at our wiki by accounts with less than 500 edits. The fact that you posted the image, and asked to have the caption being translated, might have been understood the wrong way. Adding the same image again later, at a different place, could have increased this feeling.
- Trizek bla 6 janvier 2026 à 15:32 (CET)
- And how does that explain or justify my subsequent talk page post being ignored? Pigsonthewing (discuter) 6 janvier 2026 à 15:42 (CET)
- Have you considered that they could have they kept it for later and forgot about it?
- Or that some cultural differences created a distance? I read the message you left, which is:
- in English (with a translation that sounds very demanding),
- with no greetings (I can't get used to that English Wikipedia trait of not saying hello at the start of a message),
- with your resume in to explain that you are right.
- It is not really engaging, I'm afraid. Have you considered having a less intimidating way of explaining things?
- Trizek bla 6 janvier 2026 à 19:46 (CET)
- It's been four days now, during which time they have edited this wiki every day; and have edited their talk page; and in which time both you and I have pinged them here. Do you consider that long enough to wait for a response, and sufficient reminders?
- As to your other comments, are you really blaming their false accusation and lack of response on me? Pigsonthewing (discuter) 8 janvier 2026 à 14:36 (CET)
- I think you both have responsibilities there. I also think that passer à autre chose should be cited now. Trizek bla 9 janvier 2026 à 11:32 (CET)
- Google tells me that says "hen a clear consensus has emerged, usually after lengthy debates it is unwise to continue the argument. Instead of reopening a closed topic, it is generally better to move on and improve the encyclopedia collaboratively.
- There has been no debate, let alone a lengthy one, as the other editor has declined to respond. Hence there is also no consensus; and no closed topic. Pigsonthewing (discuter) 9 janvier 2026 à 16:13 (CET)
- I don't think you get the point, nor want to get it: editing a wiki you don't speak the language is a problem in itself, and the haughty and indignant tone you used doesn't help either. Now, you can escalate this elsewhere if you like, but I'm done here. Trizek bla 10 janvier 2026 à 14:07 (CET)
