Lewis Eynon
Lewis Eynon, né le 18 septembre 1878 et mort le 18 octobre 1961 à Poole[1], est un chimiste analytique britannique.
Il préside la Society for Analytical Chemistry en 1947-1948.
Biographie
[modifier | modifier le code]Il étudie à la City of London School puis au Findsbury Technical College (auj. City and Guilds of London Institute (en)) (1895-1899) et après son diplôme, devient assistant, dès 1900, à l'Institute of Chemistry. Il commence sa carrière de chimiste analytique dans l'industrie sucrière, officiant pour la Beetroot Sugar Association (auj. Sugar Association (en)) durant dix années[2]. Il se spécialise dans l'analyse des glucoses[3] et leur réduction dans les aliments[4], et fonde sa propre entreprise de consultation et analyse chimique, la Eynon & Lane[5] .
