Problème[modifier le code]

Sorry, I don't speal french, so I have to do this in englisch: Euphronios made more than one Craters. So the name Cratère d'Euphronios is problematic. This Crater is known as Sarpedon Crater. In Berlin is a second famous Crater with young guys in a palaestra. And so on. Marcus Cyron (d) 11 janvier 2012 à 21:51 (CET)[répondre]

Well, you are right... However the name « Cratère d'Euphronios » seems to be widely accepted in French—and the situation is the same in other languages (see e.g. en:Euphronios krater, it:Cratere di Eufronio...). So even if this name is confusing and ambiguous, I think we should keep it as long as it is the most widely used (after all, it is not WP's role to create a perfect world ;). Also, it will be interessant to write a paragraph about the other craters from Euphronios in this article. (excuse my bad english) - Siren - (discuter) 12 janvier 2012 à 12:49 (CET)[répondre]
Better than mine ;). @ Bibi: OK, this is a fact I can't decide - this is a problem only the french scientific/wikipedia comunity can decide. I ever have a problem to see where is a "real name" and were is only a well used term. @ Siren: yes, this would be good. All in all - there is a good catalogue (but in german language) from the 1990s, there were in Berlin a big Euphronios exhebition will all known works be him. There it is possible to find all Kraters attributed to hin.
