A Guy Called Gerald est le nom d'artiste de Gerald Simpson (né le , Moss Side, Manchester, Angleterre) résidant actuellement à Berlin.

Simpson a remixé des chansons pour Tricky, David Bowie et les Stone Roses. Il a travaillé avec Scratchbeat Masters, Deee-Lite (en 1997) et faisait partie du groupe 808 State.

Selon les périodes, la musique composée par Simpson a exploré différents styles et genres (house music, acid house, jungle, drum'n'Bass, deep house et dub).

L'un de ses classiques, Voodoo Ray, fait partie de la bande sonore originale du jeu Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (programmé sur la radio SF-UR).
