William Moulton Marston (né le 9 mai 1893 à Saugus (Massachusetts) mort le 2 mai 1947 à Rye (New York)) est un psychologue et écrivain américain. C'est le scénariste du personnage Wonder Woman publié par All-American Publications en 1941 puis repris par DC Comics.

Il est diplômé d'un doctorat en psychologie à l'université Harvard en 1921. Ensuite il fut professeur à l'American University & de l'université Tufts.
C'est un partisan du Polyamour avec sa femme Elizabeth Holloway Marston et Olive Byrne. C'est le côté libéral de sa femme Elizabeth qui lui inspira le personnage féministe de Wonder Woman. Marston proposa l'idée à Max Gaines et Jack Liebowitz directeurs de All-American Publications qui le publie dans All Star Comics #8, dessiné par H. G. Peter, Sheldon Mayer sera l'éditeur[1].
