Thornton Niven Wilder (17 avril 1897 – 7 décembre 1975) était un dramaturge et romancier américain. Son chef-d'œuvre au théâtre est Our Town.

Thornton Niven Wilder, né à Madison dans le Wisconsin, est le fils d'Amos Parker Wilder, diplomate, et d'Isabella Niven Wilder. Tous les enfants passèrent une bonne partie de leur enfance en Chine.

Son frère aîné, Amos Niven Wilder, était professeur de théologie à la Harvard Divinity School, et aussi poète.
