Song Kang-ho (송강호), né le 17 janvier 1967 à Gimhae en Corée du Sud, est un des acteurs sud-coréens incontournables de la nouvelle vague du cinéma coréen[1].

Song Kang-ho possède son diplôme à la Kimhae High College et, sans suivre de formation d'acteur, rejoint une troupe de théâtre social[2] et le domaine de l'improvisation.

L'expérience dans sa carrière de théâtre lui permet d'enrichir ses qualités bien que sa première scène date 1991 avec la pièce Dongseung. Il refuse d'abord toutes les propositions des producteurs et réalisateurs puis finit par accepter un petit rôle dans Le Jour où le cochon est tombé dans le puits de Hong Sang-Soo, en 1996.
