Sidney Buchman est un producteur et scénariste américain, né le 27 mars 1902 à Duluth, dans le Minnesota (États-Unis), et décédé le 23 août 1975 à Cannes (France).

Il fut une des victimes du maccarthysme et inscrit sur la liste noire du cinéma.

Vie privée : Au tout début des années 1970, Sydney Buchman rencontra une jeune femme Tchèque, interprète prénommée Ana et âgée d'une vingtaine d'années, avec qui il eut une fille née en 1972, Carla (violoniste de talent).^{[réf. nécessaire]}

Ses petits-enfants, Michael B. Silver et Amanda Silver sont devenus acteur pour le premier et scénariste pour la seconde.
