Forrest J Ackerman dit Mr Science Fiction (1916-2008), est un écrivain, producteur de cinéma, éditeur et scénariste américain de science-fiction et horreur. Il est reconnu pour son magazine sur les trucages des monstres dans Famous Monsters of Filmland (en).

Biographie [modifier]
Forrest Ackerman étudie à l'Université de Californie à Berkeley de 1934-1935. Il travail comme projectionniste et rentre dans l'armée américaine (US Army) de 1942-1945[1].
Il est le créateur du personnage de comics Vampirella.
Il était membre de Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society (en).
Ackerman a inspiré l'ensemble de la science-fiction américaine (Steven Spielberg, Tim Burton, Stephen King, Frank Darabont, John Landis...) .
