Devin the Dude, de son vrai nom Devin Copeland, (4 juin 1970 à St. Petersburg, Floride - ) est un rappeur et producteur américain.

Biographie [modifier]
Né en Floride, Devin Copeland grandit à Houston au Texas et commence sa carrière avec la Odd Squad, un groupe de rappeurs signé sous le label Rap-A-Lot Records.
À partir de 1998, il entreprend sa carrière solo en lançant le disque The Dude. Au total, il a publié sept albums solo.
Il se démarque par son style assez nonchalant et sa voix nasillarde.
Devin the Dude a fait partie de la méga-tournée hip-hop de Dr. Dre pour son album Chronic 2001, The Up in Smoke Tour qui s'est déroulée entre juin et août 2000.
En 2005, The New York Times a écrit que son album To Tha X-Treme était brillant[1].
Nombre de ses sons sont très reconnus dans le monde du hip-hop tels que Right Now, Doobie Ashtray et To Tha X-Trem.
